The beginning of a new partnership
In March, a group of senior form students and teachers from STSS was very excited to visit French International School. It was organised by BePhonic, a student-led organisation that aims to promote student exchanges between international school students and local students. A return visit by FIS to our school was held on Tuesday, 6th May, strengthening the beginning of an exciting new partnership.
BePhonic believes in empowering students to make a difference in society through exchanges that allow students to improve their language proficiency. During the visit to our school, students engaged in valuable speaking opportunities as they explored the school campus, worked together to create short stories, and got to know one another while enjoying some local snacks.
Many students in Hong Kong would like the chance to practice their English, and this collaboration helped students become more confident in their language skills. By fostering cooperation between our schools, students and teachers made new friends, enjoyed fun activities, and enhanced their understanding of the local and international school systems.
We hope that students and teachers from both schools can continue to benefit from these enriching experiences in the coming years.
